03.02(pm)-03 "Volar"(Lucybell)

South America
Chile
Santiago

The main reason for this stop was to share time with my brother and his lovely daughters.

Here we are in front of Luky's "hot dog gourmet" shop that is opening to the public very soon (NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: It opened at the beginning of April. Funny inteview here: http://www.lacuarta.com/noticias/espectacular/2013/05/65-154360-9-pichulotote-ahora-vende-su-salchicha.shtml)

(Happily surrounded by Giuliana, Basia, Sharon and Catalina)

Parque Araucano ~ small park surrounded by big buildings and mountains… like an alternative version of Millennium Park in Chicago; beautiful!

In a mall called Parque Arauco (similar but not same name as park above!) I was impressed by the intelligent sign system installed in their indoor parking lots (sorry, no photos). Each spot has a sensor that detects when a car is parked and all the integrated info is sent to small screens that direct you where to go once you enter the lot. Simple and effective.

Bellavista: bohemian neighborhood with great murals and a rich nightlife; must visit! At the end of it is the Zoo and another park that we couldn't explore this time around.
Luky Buzzio: I live 16 hours in the future. When people tell me "enjoy the moment" I tell them "I already did before you!"

Back at the airport, the highlight was to watch a kid being dragged over a carry-on suitcase by his dad :)
