04.04 "Amok"(Atoms For Peace)

… Indeed: last night's dish and today's temples determined the chosen song and artist: Thom Yorke is the leader of the bands Radiohead and Atoms For Peace (this last band was formed initially as his solo project). "Amok" is the title of a song and also last year's AFP album. The art of the album is interesting too since it depicts the destruction of LA by earthquakes, asteroids and fire… and not only yesterday Chile had a strong earthquake, but chili was profusely used for preparing Khmer dishes in our cooking class yesterday. (NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: a few days later a fire devastated great part of the city of Valparaiso in Chile…)

To complete the entangled web, we are going now to the Angkor Thom temples.

South Gate of Angkor Thom

Bayon Temple

Baphuon

These temples are not female-bladder-friendly! As a logical consequence, we were forced to solve this issue… Peeing in the jungle surrounded by butterflies (instead of flies)… priceless! :D

Angkor Thom (S Gate) 264-271
Bayon 272-280
Baphuon 282-292
(Kinda destroyed)? 293-297
(went to top 360 pix)? 298-303
Preah Palilay (best!) 304-317
Tep Pranam Pagoda (after last)
