Thingyan (the Water Festival) is on! In the morning we decided to go to the Grand Royal Water Festival in Myaw Sin Island, Kandawgyi Lake (South East of our hostel). I checked Google Maps, we decide a route, and we take just Basia's phone (mine was left behind to avoid "water exposure")
Walking apparently in the right direction we get… lost; we track back and, being 5 minutes away from our destination, we get invited and jump into a party truck filled with enthusiastic locals and get driven to Inya Lake! (North of our hostel, where we tried to go yesterday)

We got to the madness and took us a while to get out of the truck: they were so nice even if our communication was so rudimentary… but they didn't want to let us go! :) we were dancing, getting soaked; everybody laughing!

After doing our own round through the soaking/soaked crowd, we went to see the sunset at ShweDagon (a.k.a. "Shuey Dragon" or "Shuey Drag On") Pagoda ):)

Back on the hostel we met Denise (from Brazil, she lives now in New Delhi)[NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: she'll become our partner-in-crime in Bagan… and beyond!…
